ARRI Media becomes PHAROS - The Post Group. Media Services GmbH, formerly known as ARRI Media, has been part of Dr Stefan Laucher's group of companies since August 2021. Now Media Services GmbH is shedding the ARRI brand and will become PHAROS - The Post Group with immediate effect.

Same passion, more possibilities
PHAROS - The Post Group will continue to support filmmakers at every stage of their creative process with proven expertise but a carefully readjusted setup. "After acquiring Ludwig Kameraverleih, MBF Filmtechnik and Non-Stop Film Service, PHAROS was the missing link to the holistic strategy of a full-service provider," says Dr. Laucher. His vision: to support customers with a full service and technology package from a single source and to develop all-round solutions. Together with its sister companies, PHAROS - The Post Group will in future cover all service areas related to film productions and become the first address for filmmakers. Therefore PHAROS will continue to be present with its teams in Munich and Berlin.

The new name is our ambition
PHAROS, emphasises Josef "Sepp" Reidinger, who will remain on board as managing director, is not only a renaming for a modernised company structure, but also a high standard as a reminiscence of the famous lighthouse of Alexandria: "Our heads, our know-how, our history have a radiant power on the industry. We set the pace, make things happen - and, like a lighthouse in the sea, give filmmakers orientation and security in the shoals of film production." In doing so, he relies on the experienced and highly specialised teams that, as usual, take care of all areas of post-production, including visual effects, sound, grading and mastering, as well as software development, distribution, world sales, film restoration and asset management.


From script to screen - this promise remains at the core of the broad range of services for production companies, filmmakers and distributors. Customers now also have access to the rental services of Ludwig Kameraverleih, MBF Filmtechnik and Non-Stop Film Service - all bundled from a single source. "The passion and competence of the team will continue to be the guarantee for high quality and creativity - for what our customers and partners appreciate so much about us," says the new owner Dr. Laucher.
