SL Group acquires Media Services GmbH

In the course of its strategic realignment and internationalization, the ARRI Group is divesting its postproduction business, which is predominantly focused on the German market, as well as its film distribution business. These Media Services GmbH bundled activities have been sold, with immediate effect, to the SL Unternehmensbeteiligungsgesellschaft mbH (SL Equity Investment Company) of Dr. Stefan Laucher.

The company headquarters will remain at Tuerkenstrasse 89, 80799 in Munich, Germany. Markus Zeiler has handed the role of management over to Josef Reidinger. Previously known as ARRI Media International, the film distribution business will continue to be called The Playmaker Munich.

The operational business of Media Services GmbH will continue to run seamlessly with the existing team of experts. All services already agreed upon or discussed will be provided in full. Customers will continue to benefit from the full spectrum of creative and technical services related to film production at the highest level.
